Clinical Trial for the Therapeutic Effects of 5% Bufexamac Cream on Various Dermatoses

Abstract
|
|
|
BufexO, a new topical non-steroid cream containing 5% bufexamac known as antiinflam.matory agent was used on various dermatoses. Total 36 patients including 16 cases of atopic dermatitis, 12 cases of contact dermatitis, 5 cases of neurodermatitis and 3 cases of sunburn were treated with 5% BufexO cream.
T he therapeutic effects are as follows;
1) Among 36 patients, we observed very excellent effect in 1.4 patients, good effects in 13 patient and fair effects in 3 patients. Namely, we revealed relatively good therapeutic efficacy in 83% of all patients.
2) Excellent therapeutic efficacy on atopic dermatitis (81%), contact dermatitis (83%), neurodermatitis (86%), and sunburn (100%) were revealed prospectively.
3) No untoward side-effects were noted in all patients treated with BufexO cream.
